Our publication house has just released two new books. The first one “Royal jelly and drone homogenate”. The book treats about two very important issues: properties of the described technology of royal jelly extraction and drone brood homogenate. Translation for Polish beekeepers was done by Igor Pawlyk. A few words from the translator: “Similarly to the previous publication “Beekeeping – a return to nature” the author stresses the necessity of using the knowledge of the bees’ instincts for the purpose of proper apiary management. The author shows what treatments should be performed in order to source products of best quality and at the same time maintain the bee families in great condition. This procedure helps to preserve the bees immune resistance and avoid pathology at the same time source enough amount of a quality product. (...) The writer emphasises the danger of submitting to commerciality temptations, taking short cuts and replacing natural food to surrogate. This results in drastic deterioration of sourced product quality and decline of the bee colony condition.

This book also presents information what condition must be met In order to produce good quality royal jelly. Differences between taking care of some bee colonies such as „Karuzela” or „Symbioza” are described interestingly. These differences are a consequence of diverse bee families condition. In these systems natural bee instincts are used which lead to assure necessary terms to source product of appropriate quality. This book is written for both professional and amateur beekeepers who what to widen their apiary knowledge and to understand bees better. We strongly agree with the author’s statement: “(...) advice for beginners: it is very important to be supervised by an experienced and wise beekeeper at the start of beekeeping adventure”. We recommend to reach for advice of experts. "Beekeeping economy in Polish law" by Ziemowit Witkowski – the book is a reprint of interesting combination of juridical knowledge with a passion for beekeeping. The author presents accessibly and if possible solves most frequent legal problems that an apiary might encounter. The book depicts not only duties but also rights of beekeepers e.g. apiary legal protection against poisoning, veterinary requirements in beekeeping, requirements regarding extraction, production and sale of bee products and also restrictions connected with running ecological apiaries.
