'One little seed can bring a lot of hope', said Malgorzata Broda at the beginning of the 12th "Ziarnko Gorczycy" Gala. The stage was occupied by ten philanthropists chosen by the people of Nowy Sącz and the Committee of the plebiscite.
These are the people and the companies considered in the plebiscite: Wieslaw Czop, Wincenty Zygadło, Jozef Pyzik, Bogdan Popiela, Ryszard Konstanty, "Nowosadecka Wspolnota” Society, confectionery "Grzes", the gastronomic company "Raj", the Beekeeping Farm "Sadecki Bartnik", the Association of Family and Friends of Disabled Children "Nadzieja".

The award of "Ziarnko Gorczycy" in the category of person was given to Wieslaw Czop, an entrepreneur from Podegrodzie who has supported a number of charity campaigns, cultural and sport events. Another person distinguished in this category was Ryszard Konstatnty, founder of the "Okno Zycia" organization which supports, among other, Single Mothers' Home in Krakow and "Mam Marzenie" Foundation.
"The value of a man depends not on what he possesses but on what he does for other people", stated Ryszard Konstatnty.

In the category of "company or association" there were two awards. The first one for the gastronomic company "Raj" from Golkowice that has been helping the educational establishments and social services centres in the area of Nowy Sacz for eight years. The second award was granted to the Association of Family and Friends of Disabled Children "Nadzieja" managing a rehabilitation centre, a therapeutic day-room and therapy workshops."We are glad that our work has been appreciated. This award is for all people associated with the foundation: parents, children and the employees. We all have been working hard to this effect", said Jadwiga Jasinska, the chairperson of the "Nadzieja" Association.      

The Gala was traditionally accompanied by a charity auction. In the second part of the Gala the guest had the opportunity to listen to the concert of "Raz, Dwa, Trzy" music band and take part in a banquet. The money collected will be delegated to boy an ambulance for the hospital in Nowy Sacz. In previous years, donations from the Gala helped to build a hospice in Nowy Sacz.    

The main organizer of  "Ziarnko Gorczycy" initiative is the President of Nowy Sacz, the Prefect of Nowy Sacz District, the Association of "Sokol" and the Association of People of Nowy Sacz.
