Jerzy Zak was associated with Sadecki Bartnik publishing house for many years. He was an outstanding artist and photographer. We paid our last respects to him on Sunday, 16th November 2014, on the graveyard in Powroznik.

Mr Zak often visited our beekeeping farm in Stroze. Our cooperation began in the early 90s. He took photos relating to beekeeping which were a perfect base for pictorial scientific and popular science publications.

He prepared three documentaries for us from international beekeeping congresses “APIMONDIA” (Losanne-1995, Antwerp-1997 and Vancouver-1999). He photographed many feasts at Bartnik. Those photos were frequently published in the press and in the Internet.

The last publication of Jerzy Zak's lifework was the album “Lemkoes and Lemkovina”, published in July 2014 by our publishing company.

He presented his works at over 150 exhibitions, in a few albums, many calendars, tourist guides and other tourist or advertising publishing houses. He was often awarded for his artistic activity.
