Bees on the radio

The programme tackled the wide range of issues connected to the topic of modern beekeeping. It provided a solid portion of information concerning, among other, Polish honey varieties and the more and more expanding application of bee products such as pollen or propolis in the area of medicine.

The beekeepers could also find some interesting observations on their every day work and problems they tend to struggle with, including apiary supervision and bees health.

However, the programme was not only designed for professional beekeepers and people actively involved in this area of agriculture. 'An evening with science' had also plenty to offer for those not associated with beekeeping.

wolski_a_180The author of the programme - Artur Wolski (in the photo) - invited to his discussion Prof. Ryszard Czarnecki, a pharmacologist and an advocate of bee products application in medicine, Dr. Zbigniew Lipiski, an expert in bees health, Tadeusz Kasztelan, a member of a beekeeping unit at the Ministry of Agriculture, Narcyz Kedziora, a representative of Karpacki Zwiazek Pszczelarski (Carpathian Beekeeping Association) and Janusz Kasztelewicz, the owner of 'Sadecki Bartnik' Beekeeping Farm.

There was no doubt that the choice of the programme participants known for their thorough beekeeping experience would provide the listeners with a variety of useful information, as well as, unforgettable impressions.
