On 8th August we celebrated Bees Day. On this occasion we visited Warsaw together with Greenpeace and the world of science representatives and other beekeepers in order to express our dissatisfaction with the Minister of Agriculture resolution. The Minister gave permission to use pesticides that are dangerous both for bees and people. A box containing 72 thousand petitions was given to the deputy Minister to cancel this decision.
People are not aware of the fact that half of the eatables that we consume depends on bees.

One of the reason of organising Bees Day at our beekeeping farm together with “We help bees with Kujawski” was to educate people about this problem. On that day one could explore our museum with a guide for free and get to know many interesting facts about bees life. What is more there was an opportunity to play an outdoor game and win prizes.
We hope that we will not have to fight for the bees wellbeing on the next Bees Day.
