Have a look at same photos from the Fairs at the “Apimondia” Congress.
Unfortunately, due to a complex custom clearing procedures, the representation of companies producing beekeeping equipment was not as numerous as it should have been.
However, the producers of honey were, as always, reliable in their efforts to make an impression with their honey varieties from all over the world.
Ukraine was no exception when it came to organizing contests for the best honey varieties and honey meads. Sadly, no Polish products were awarded by the jury.
Companies producing beekeeping equipment included also our partner LOGAR, a company from Slovenia. The obvious dominance of Ukrainian and Russian firms resulted from their logistic leverage over the representatives from abroad.
The only foreign company that managed to display an extensive offer for the Fairs was the Polish company of Tomasz Lyson. It was awarded with the ApiExpo Golden Medal in the category of big stalls.
In total, there were given 100 medals” 41 golden, 31 silver and 28 bronze. Most of them went to the beekeepers from Slovakia, Russia and the UK.
The participants of the Congress were bidden farewell by the moderator Tatyana Vasylkiska and the President of “Apimondia” Gilles Ratia. The artistic programme was performed by the folk Ukrainian bands.
The flag of the international beekeeping organisation was passed on to the representation of South Korea, where the next “Apimondia “Congress will take place in two years.
It was also decided that the “Apimondia” and the “ApiExpo” of 2017 will be held in Istanbul.
