Nauka koło pasiek is considered to be the first bee breeding textbook not only in Poland, but also in the entire Slavic region.

Additionally, it is written by the first proprietary duet.
The readers of Nauka koło pasiek are introduced to the text by an excellent linguist - prof. Jan Miodek. He presents the peculiarities of the Old Polish language, especially the archaisms recorded in the 17th-century work in a very accessible manner. The current edition of Nauka koło pasiek was published by joint authorship of Walenty Kącki and Jan Ostroróg. It is mentioned in the print that the textbook was written by Jan Ostroróg on the basis of information obtained from Walenty Kącki in 1612. c
