“Presidential Harvest Festival demonstrates how strong and alive is the tradition of Polish countryside”, said the President of Poland Aleksander Kwasniewski pn 18th of September 2005. Apart from president and her wife – Jolanta Kwasniewska, the ceremony was also attended by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Jerzy Pilarczyk, delegations of farmers and large number of guests and tourists.
The harvesting ceremony was inaugurated by the address of minister Jerzy Pilarczyk. He was followed by the host of the harvest festival – Elzbieta Blazejewska and by Janusz Kasztelewicz, the owner of the Beekeeping Farm ‘Sadecki Bartnik’. In accordance with the old Polish tradition, they handed the president a symbolic loaf of bread .
