17th Biesiada u Bartnika July 2008

The Beekeeping Farm 'Sadecki Bartnik', Carpathian Beekeeping Association and the Municipal Council of Grybow invited professional and amateur beekeepers, as well as all honey lovers for the annual beekeeping picnic in Stroze, traditionally held in July.

This year edition of Biesiada u Batnika was honoured by the patronage of Marek Sawicki, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.

The whole event commenced with a conference entitled "The Causes and effects of mass bee collapse disorder". Over 300 beekeepers from all over the country came to listen to the lectures and take part in the discussions. The conference and 17th edition of Biesiada u Bartnika was inaugurated by Janusz Kasztelewicz, the animator, organizer of the annual beekeepers meetings and the owner of the Beekeeping Farm "Sadecki Bartnik".

All the participants of the conference were provided with the special brochure, containing the delivered lectures. There were also the opportunity to purchase materials from the previous conferences at 'Sadecki Bartnik'.

Like every year, the conference and 'Biesiada u Bartnika' were accompanied by a popular as usual fair of beekeeping equipment, breeding material and specialized literature.
