In the 17^th edition 93 companies took part, from which 77 received nomination for the emblem 'Teraz Polska' and 26 products and services were awarded. The final of each and every edition of 'Teraz Polska' competition is one of the most important cultural events, promoting the successes of Polish economy.

Among the invited guest there were Members of Parliament, members of Polish government, representatives of the culture and business world and the winners of the previous editions along with the nominees of the 16^th edition of the 'Teraz Polska' competition.

The performers of the 'Teraz Polska' Gala Concert  were the opera soloists that presented quite an unusual repertoire. It included the works of Jan Kiepura, Elvis Presley and Queen. The soloists were accompanied by the Zabrzanska Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra conducted by Slawomir Chrzanowski.

On stage could be seen, among others, Anna Cymmerman, Iwona Tober, Witold Matulka, Leszek Swidzinski, Ryszrad Wroblewski and Jerzy Poomski.

The concert ended with an artistic program entitled 'Melodie Swiata' (Melodies of the World). The awards of 'Teraz Polska' were presented by the chairman of 'Teraz Polska' chapter professor Michal Kleiber.

 

The guest of honour of the Gala Concert was Miss World 2006 Unnur Birna VilhjalmSdottir and the hosts of the ceremony were Bozena Dykiel and Bogusław Kaczynski.
