The next, this time 15th, Biesiada u Bartnika in Stroze on 1st and 2nd of July 2006. As usual, it attracted many beekeepers and honey amateurs.

10.00 - Dr Frantisek Kamler ”Curing bee in the Czech Republic
10.30 - The official unveiling of Father Dzierzon monument
10.45 - The performanc of the ballet group 'Miniatura' from Krynica
11.15 - The official inauguration of the 15th Biesida u Bartnika
14.00 - Honey harvesting and tasting
  • Performance of the regional band 'Lipniczanie'
  • Performance of the band ”Łemkiwskyj Perstenyk”

  • Concert of "Siwy Dym” band
20.00 - Dancing party accompanied by the musical group ”Cocktail- Band”  from Grybow.





The host of the event was, as usual, Janusz Kasztelewicz  - the animator and the organizer of Biesiada u Bartnika. He is the sole person responsible for preparing the program and inviting guests. This year Biesiada was honoured by the presence of the President of "Apimondia" (the International Beekeepers' Congress)  Asger Sogaard Jorgensen.

There are people who are indispensable at Biesiada u Bartnika. One of the id Dr Jerzy Gala - an avid propagator of honey and medical specialist.

However, the most important are the opinions of guests and participants of Biesiada u Bartnika.



2006 was the year of 100 anniversary of the death of father Jan Dzierzon (1811-1906), who was a world famous beekeeper, known for his technological innovations.
The anniversary was celebrated in Stroze by unveiling the monument  located at "Sadecki Bartnik" and dedicated to Jan Dzierzon. The monument was carved out by Franciszek Palka, the local sculptor.
The celebration was attended by many prominent guests, among others Asger Sogaard Jorgensen - the President of "Apimondia" and Witold Kochan - the province governor of Malopolska.
