Apimondia
Since 1995 the Beekeeping Farm participates in the International Beekeepers' Congresses called "Apimondia" with the aim of promoting Polish beekeeping.

The first Congress took place in Lousanne in Switzerland, the next one in Antwerp in 1997 and the one next after that in Vacouver (Canada) in 1999. The Congress of the year 2001 was held in Durban in South Africa, while in 2003 it took place in Ljubljana (Slovenia). The following Congress took place in Dublin in 2005 and the last one on Melbourne in 2008.

On the occasion of Congresses, there is organized an exhibition called "Apiexpo" at which every participating company from all over the world is to prepare its own display. Every time 'Bartnik Sadecki' presented its exhibition with a special regard to the specific features of the currently visited country. The preparations for each and every single Congress take almost a whole year and an involve enormous amount of work and financial means. Our stall always was surrounded with many interested observers as it showed a wide variety of goods - starting from honey products, meads and finishing with books and films published by our publishing house. The arrangement of the exhibition, prepared with precision and diligence, has brought 'Sadecki Bartnik' the international recognition.

At the Congress in Antwerp, 'Sadecki Bartnik' was awarded with the golden medal for the stall arrangement and with the bronze one for two film produced by our publishing house - "Sladami Dzierzona" (Following Dzierzon) and "Piękno w ulach zaklęte" (Beauty of beehives) . Both films tell the story of Polish beekeeping, what makes the award even more valuable as it promoted the long-lasting beekeeping tradition of beekeeping in international arena. The year of 2001 brought us another prestigious awards. In Durban, we received the golden medal for the album with Jan Twardowski poems "Ule i pasieki w Polsce"(Hives and apiaries in Poland) by Jerzy Zak and Maciej Rysiewicz. We were also awarded with the silver medal for our honey meads.

Our Publishing House 'Sadecki Bartnik' has prepared a film about all the Apimondia in which we participated. In this way we wanted to immortalize these amazing beekeeping events and to encourage others to take part in them. Apimondia are the unique opportunity to develop new friendships and to find out more about beekeeping of along with its scientific basis.

The next Apimondia will take place in French Montpellier in 2009.
